Vision Statement

The Washington Baghdad Policy Council envisions an Iraq governed by accountability, justice, and the rule of law, where all communities live free from militia control, sectarian persecution, political corruption, and foreign-backed intimidation. We seek to build stronger understanding between Washington and Baghdad by bringing serious attention to the political and humanitarian realities facing Iraq and by encouraging responsible U.S. engagement that supports stability, human rights, and a future led by the Iraqi people, not by armed factions or corrupt power networks.
